About The Position

Social Media Manager will report to VP of College Sports and work across XLMedia’s portfolio of US-based college sports websites to strengthen brand awareness and user engagement with our brands. The role will include planning, operating and reporting on various Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other social media accounts. The social media manager will be responsible for developing a content plan to drive engagement, followers, and conversions, while maintaining the flexibility to react to real-time, off-hours sporting events.

What’s the Job?

The social media manager will be tasked with planning and executing social media strategies to grow awareness and following of XLMedia’s college sports brands such as Saturday Down South, Saturday Tradition, Saturday Road and other to-be-launched brands. 



·       Must have 3+ years experience in managing high visibility social accounts.

·       Bachelor’s degree (or higher).

·       Results driven personality required— role will be held accountable for growth and engagement metrics.

·       The ability to marry branding goals with direct, measurable business goals.

·       A deep knowledge and obsession with college sports.

·       Exceptional multi-tasking skills.

·       Able to explain complex social media data in an understandable way.

·       Familiarity with latest social media trends and platforms, and willingness to learn new platforms.

·       Candidate should be a regular consumer of leading digital sports brands.

·       Able to manage others, but also willing and able to jump in and get things done. 

·       Excellent written and communication skills.

Bonus Points

·       Creative skills and competency creating graphics in programs such as Adobe Photoshop.

·       A deep knowledge of sports betting.
