To lead the product function across XLM, championing the needs of the consumer and the customer, developing new products and enhancing existing in line with business strategy to grow audiences and revenues. You will be an inspirational leader, capable of gaining buy in from senior stakeholders, showcasing new product enhancements to the business and seen as a product leader in external settings

  • Define the product strategy for XLMedia, working with business leaders to identify opportunities and establish long-term goals
  • Lead the product strategy for our Network – Private Marketplace proposition, designing a platform powered by 1st party data and built with market leading technology which provides our partners with an enriched UI
  • Is an inspirational leader, who will build and nurture a high performing team of product managers and designers to deliver continuous improvements across the product portfolio
  • As a senior leader, you embrace the company value and champion them internally and externally
  • Using 1st party data, enhance and optimise the user experience, providing personalised content and advert recommendations
  • Analyze market competitors, identifying opportunities for product enhancements to grow audiences and revenues
  • Lead a multi disciplined product and UI/UX design function, working with business leaders to define and translate business requirements into product features
  • Work with the technical teams (engineering and data) to turn product requirements into technical requirements and deliver them through an agile sprint process
  • Work closely with the VPs of engineering and data to set a robust, flexible and efficient strategy for the delivery of the global product roadmap and technology capabilities
  • Work alongside the VP of Internal Technology to agree the interface strategies between audience facing products and back office systems
  • Work with marketing and brand owners to define brand strategy and bring that to life through great products and UI/UX
  • Build a full ad tech suit which not only automates commercial operations but provides sales teams with new and unique sales propositions
  • Accountable for educating internal stakeholders on product cycles and the role of product in a technology and data driven business

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • Leadership skills – ability to form, lead, coach and develop a high performing team and work with a range of stakeholders across the business
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing and presenting to c-suite and leadership team
  • Proven experience leading product teams in a B2C company
  • Ownership of global product roadmaps
  • Experience working in or creating a culture of continuous improvement
  • Demonstrable commercial expertise any understanding of sales processes
  • Vendor selection and ongoing vendor management 
  • Passionate about great user experience and using technology to automate processes
  • Experience in display advertising or affiliate marketing is extremely desirable
  • Experience in the publishing industry, very desirable

  • Publishing processes, content creation, editing and CMS capabilities
  • Front end design techniques
  • Data capture techniques and ways to use data for commercial gains
  • API integration capabilities
  • Operational understanding of the media industry
